Xmas blues

This blog has gone to shit these past couple of weeks. My main reason of absence is because I've got "the virus" that is going round. I am so extremly ill right now, its horrible. I thought it might just be a cold but no. No one will come near me incase they catch it haha :( I think Christmas is going to spend in bed this year.

Unless I suddenly get a miracle and am better by Christmas, I'm not going to be here until the New Year with updates. I'm way to ill to be doing it until then.

Quick note

Stardoll gave me my account back. Took them long enough. They sent me a message that said exactly "Sorry for the misunderstanding. We have now reactivated your account". Unfortunately, it seamed to screw my whole suite up, deleted my clubs and screwed with basically everything. Bleh.

SO. I'm currently on my laptop trying to figure it all out, all images for the posts I wanted to make are on the main computer. :( So hopefully I'll get sorted and get up to date soon enough, that's if Christmas doesn't kick me in the ass again.

I think I'm going to try the new Starbucks cherry mocha tomorrow. Yum. Last minute Christmas shopping tomorrow as well. Busy busy, so I don't have time to update AT ALL.

Still no account back

Boo to Stardoll :( They got back to me with yet ANOTHER automated response. That's three I've got now. This could be looking bad for me. I want my good account back.

I think that covers it. I'm not going to post any other news that's happened on SD because frankly, I can't be bothered right now. With no account, it sucks. Plus, what sucks even more, is that Miss. Bettie Page passed away yesterday. It made me quite sad, she was an icon and uh, she was just the queen of pin-up girls. I love pin-up, the whole look and era, totally what I go for.

So on that note, I'm off to drink lots of tea and read a book. Hopefully Stardoll will get back to me by tomorrow.

ARGH

Stardoll have pissed me off to the max. I got an e-mail on December 1st saying how I needed to change my username, it 'offended other members' (amongst other things). I e-mailed them back about it and all i got was "The moderators have their reasons for this". Whatever the hell that means. Anyway, long story short. They gave me ONE WEEK to change my name etc, AND I complied. I changed my name with the link they gave me BEFORE my time was up.

Yesterday I went to log on, my account is 'terminated'. Apparently I 'violated the terms of use' according to an e-mail I received. I've contacted them several times via my other account but still no response. I know it takes a day or two for a reply, but I'm eager to find out what I've done wrong this time. Ridiculous.

I'm so annoyed! arghhhhhhhhhhh

So no more updates till Stardoll Staff figure their shit out and get back to me. I sincerely hope they give me my account back, HOW IT WAS. Because I'm going to be really GUTTED if I loose all my stuff. blah :(

So let's get this started!

1) Stardoll advent calender, yesterday you got a free set of three candles. (Can't be bothered with a picture) Today you got this:

3) Holy shit!

By now you have ALL seen these new items. And WOW. I love it and hate it! The whole idea is cool you know? Limited Edition items for only those "rich" members, which beings me onto why I HATE it. This nice little collection will set you back over 3,000 stardollars. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have this exclusive stuff for some members, but it definitely singles out the majority of Stardoll girls. I mean, some girls get 50 stardollars a week, and with that they could buy only one item, MAYBE two if they're lucky. I'm really tempted to spend my money on some of this stuff, but wow, I don't think I could part with 200 stardollars for a dress. I think the Rouched Pencil Skirt is selling the best right now according to the little pink bar of how many have sold. Wonder if this is an on going thing?

4) A handful of new items int he Starplaza, nothing special.

5) Pick up a free piano from "The Secret of Moonacre"

6) Superstars can now dress up Tina Fay.

New furniture starbazaar

You can now sell all your old furniture from your suites to earn some stardollars! I think this is a great idea because I have lots of furniture I brought and then was like "Ugh, I don't want it now!"

And just a quick note, ALL the holiday items are still in the Starplaza. I only mentioned the jacket because I just came across it in there, I didn't check anything else. Get it sorted SD!

You just can't seam to get I right can you? Everyone knows the Holiday calender items were in the Starplaza during that "glitch" but this jacket (which is part of it) seen in the bottom right corner is in the Starplaza AGAIN, right NOW. So, is this December 2nd's gift? Probably. But let's wait and see.

I just got a message from Stardoll staff, TWO messages actually.

Firstly, they are going to delete my account in one week if I don't change my username because it "offends" other people. Well, I've had it for TWO YEARS, OVER two years, why NOW?

Secondly, because of this they will not sort out my payment problems with the SMS service until it's sorted. WTF!?!

Stardoll you hate me don't you?

Not my cup of tea

I knew that this new dress in the Starplaza was a Faith Hill dress, but I had no idea where it has been worn until Fakeshake3 over at Paperdoll Life posted that it was from her new Album cover "Joy to the World".

I still haven't made my mind up completely about it. It's definitely a statement dress, I mean it's bright pink! But I just don't think it's anything too special, and seeing as it's 15 stardollars to buy, I don't think I'll be rushing to get it anytime soon.

Also, for all those who were freaking out, broadcasts are back!

Finally, new boys clothes in the Starplaza. Nothing exciting, so won't post a picture.

I just left the Starplaza after buying a few last sale items before it ends tonight, I open those awful white shutters to my closest (they usually take a good couple of minutes to open) and they open straight away to reveal this:

I sincerely hope this is just a glitch and they all come back, seriously. Ahhhhhhhh!!

New craze?

Everywhere I look I'm seeing posts on this black Hot Buys bow. But people aren't using it as a bow...they're using it as their bangs! Genius idea, but I don't think it would suit my doll, plus, I've been using mine as a collar bow with the Hot Buys broach for a few weeks now. (Which I thought it was always how it was intended to be used!)

Not 100% sure who first thought of this idea, (different people saying different things) but everybody's catching on quick! If I find out I'll edit this post, I'll post some pictures of people rocking this craze when I get the time!

The Secret of Moonacre strikes again

First Stardoll gives us an old book as a gift in our suite which takes us to "Moonacre" (Maybe?)

Then the house gives us gifts. I heard the first one was a pearl necklace? Then the black dog, now...a cake stand the size of my medoll? What the hell?

I hear the move is completely different from the book. I personally have no idea as I've never read it, but still, very strange.

Tomorrow it begins.

The Stardoll advent calender starts tomorrow, if you were lucky enough you got to see the upcoming "surprises" in the Starplaza via another glitch. I will be bringing you every item as they are revealed. (I've done my research, I know all about each one!)

I won't bother posting photos of it all right now, because it's old news and everybody has pictures on their blogs of what was there! But just know there is lots of Marc Jacobs, Mui Mui, and some very colourful Victoria's Secret wings!

Coincidence or not?

Lately, I've found the Starplaza being filled with clothes that I don't particularly find nice, or interesting. Yeah there's those new brands that everybody freaks out about, but apart from that, they just keep re-releasing OLD clothes that were there before Stardoll got the huge refurbishment to how it looks now.

But the thing but bugs me, how they are ripping off older items that are unavailable or making one item readily available through different brands, just different fabrics. For example:

Personally, I think the difference is uncanny. But what do you think? Should Stardoll duplicate older items to look like new ones? Or do you like the idea of being able to purchase clothes that look like the dis-continued, more sort after collectible ones? Let me hear your thoughts!

Perhaps the sassy, edgy London look of Agyness Deyn and Kate Moss take your fancy, quirky and a little punk/Rock n Roll.

The Fashion forward Victoria Beckham? More of a trend setter than a follower.

Or, maybe you’d rather to throw on some comfy clothes like Miss. Hayley Williams, and dress up when appropriate? (This girl does scrub up well.)

Blonde (or black!) locks, cat eyes and red lips can only mean one thing; Pin-Up. Classic, sassy and defiantly 100% feminine! Christina Aguilera made this her signature look circa 2006/2007.

Or maybe you prefer fashion throwbacks, such as Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn and Miss. Coco herself? Classy, sophisticated and very much timeless. (Vintage, Vintage, Vintage!)

There's plenty of other people out there that I could have listed, but that would have gone on forever.
